Lingshu Labs at the INR - The Details

Monthly Study in Classical Acupuncture of the INR.

Lingshu Labs has been designed to offer the classical acupuncture community of the INR additional study and discourse.

The purpose of these labs is to approach the clinical application of Neijing classical acupuncture as a community collective, mixing study methods, thematic analysis, clinical interactions, language, disease and case study into round-table style discussions. Each monthly session will be themed, structured, and led by Dr. White.

Each themed lab will require student participation in various forms, from pre-study, research, observation, their own clinical and scholarly input and more. In some instances this will be in the form of specific questions, in other instances it may be free flowing case discussion. As this is not a lecture series, each lab will have instruction involved.

If these labs prove fruitful and further study is desired they will continue indefinitely - this will build a strong international community of Neijing scholar-physicians. Note that these labs do not replace the Clinical Neijing Program or any other program offered by the INR. They are designed as complimentary study.

In general themes will include (but not be limited to):

  • Thematic Analysis of specific writings and chapters of the Lingshu Jing. Here students will be given or directed to work on specific chapters while Dr. White will present his findings from in-depth study of core material
  • Neijing Clinical Charting: Learning how to appropriately chart your diagnostics and treatment interventions in your practice. Students will also have the opportunity to present their own designs.
  • Disease structure and design in the Lingshu Jing and Suwen.
  • Diagnostic and pathological identification, enabling students to make quick and effective clinical decisions under the Lingshu Jing medical paradigm.
